How to dyi tint
Simplified DIY auto tinting, here are some easy steps to follow:
- Clean the windows: Start by thoroughly cleaning the windows form the inside to remove any dirt, dust or debris. Use a glass cleaner and lint-free cloth to endure a clean surface for the tint film.
- Prepare the tint film: Measure and cut the tint film according to the dimensions of each window, leaving a small margin around the edges. You can use a cutting tool of even scissors to trim the film.
- Wet the windows: Fill a spray bottle with a mixture of water and a few drops of dish soap. Spray the inside of the window generously with the soapy water. This will act as a lubricant for the tint film.
- Apply the tint film: Peel off the protective liner form the tint film and place it onto the wet window. The soapy water will allow you to reposition the film if needed. Smooth out the film using your hands or a credit card, starting from the center and working your way outwards to push out any air bubbles.
- Trim the excess film: Once the film is applied and smoothed out, use a sharp blade or a utility knife to trim the excess film around the edges of the window. Be carful not to damage the window of the film.
- Dry and finalize: Use a lint-free cloth of paper towel to gently blot the excess moisture from the window. Check for any remaining air bubbles and use a credit card or squeegee to smooth them out. Let the lint film dry completely before rolling down the windows or touching the film.
